AI and AE

  We all know AI is Artificial Intelligence.  I am proposing that AE or Artificial Emotion is required to complete a touring machine.  Consider that AI creates the syntax that is passed to AE and AE creates an “emotion quotient” based on the entire conversation with recent input given a higher value.  AE could rely on the user’s facial expressions, tone, volume and other telltales that can expose a user’s emotion to complement it with the appropriate emotional response. Psychologists' insights into dealing with human emotions can be brought into the model.  If the human is wearing a smartwatch even more information could be included.  If this all sounds familiar it is because the parts are in the warehouse waiting for someone to fit them together.

The Vulcans may be Right

The Vulcans may be Right I have found that emotions play a role in many decisions and never in a good way.  Emotions cloud any decision made under their dominion.  This is especially so when there is animosity added into the mix which can cause stalling and selecting an option that serves no one well. Ignore shiny things that have no real value.  Enthusiasm and caution must be used in equal quantities in order to be neutral.  Let the data tell the story.
